Car Seat Cover

Valentine's Day Cards

I seriously don't know why my pictures upload sideways even after I've flipped them in iPhoto.
I made these at a church activity. I am not sure if the designs were original creations of our leader or if they were copied from Stampin' Up.

Valentine's Day Shirt

I took a shirt an old boyfriend gave me and made this shirt. I thought, "who needs that old shirt anyway"? I made the whole thing by using this tutorial, here, for the 90 minute shirt. In this tutorial, Dana instructed me to make my own pattern from an old Onesie. It was such a challenge and I loved it. I made the heart patches on the sleve out of my husband's old shirt and I put them there to cover up the logo that was on my old shirt... something about saving the elephants in Thailand. LOL

Christmas Orna-mints

I made these mint ornaments using this tutorial, here. I modified it, of course, by turning them into mints with wrappers. I found the red and white material in the Halloween clearance isle at JoAnn's. Score! I made the green and white mints by first sewing strips of green and white fabric together.

Felt Mr. Potato Head

Well, here is Mrs. Potato Head
(Not sure why I can't rotate the picture!)

I was so excited about this Felt Potato Head by Ashley from Make it and Love it, HERE. I made one and it turned out to be a $2.oo Christmas present and L loves it! It is perfect for quiet entertainment in church. The next time I make one, I will use less Velcro. (See how it kind of pokes out from behind the nose and eyes?) You don't need that much Velcro and less would also make this toy even more quiet.

I made this bag to carry it in. I like it because it is lined. I found the tutorial for it on Happy Things, HERE and HERE.

Halloween Police Officer

I made this whole costume from scratch without an official pattern. Ashley from Make it and Love it taught me how to trace an old shirt and pair of pants for a pattern. (Shirt HERE and pants HERE) I made up the collar by studying the collar from one of L's church shirts. I made the night stick by cutting a dowl and screwing it in place and spray painting it. I also made the belt by using Ashley's tutorial HERE and then adding a loop to the belt for the night stick. I found the badge in the party section in at Wal-mart. The letters and patches are felt. I just pinned them in place and sewed them on without using any adhesive like steam-a-seam, etc. The patch on the right arm is an American flag.
